Reale Arena winner for the Prix Versailles 2020 for Sports
The Reale Arena has been awarded as winner of the Prix Versailles 2020 for Sports, to the most beautiful sports facility in the world, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of architecture and design, in association with Unesco and the International Union of Architects (UIA).
The Stadium competed for the price against the amazing Al Maktoum Stadium (Dubai), Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Londres), Puskas Arena (Budapest), Papua Bangkit Stadium (Indonesia) and TB Arena Dynamo (Moscú).
The Reale Arena Stadium has been selected by the jury of the Prix Versailles, consisted on prominent figures in multiple disciplines, from well known architects and Pritzker award winners to 3 star chefs and influential personalities in the world of art and culture. The award values innovation, creativity, local heritage reference, and also components such as sustainability, energetic efficiency or social, cultural and economic integration.

Located in San Sebastián’s El Antiguo neighbourhood, our architecture and urban planning studio is a reflection of our work philosophy. Although young as an architecture studio, we have wide experience in architecture and urban planning projects. Under the baton of Izaskun Larzabal, we have tackled numerous architecture projects in our more than 15 years of history, always with the guarantee of quality and a job well done. Noteworthy among our most outstanding projects is renovation of the Anoeta stadium for the Real Sociedad, as well as participation in projects where we develop our philosophy of sustainable architecture towards a different kind of energy model. Examples of this are buildings such as Enertic or the Europa Congress Centre in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which boasts the Leed and Passive House certifications.
At our studio we take great care over even the very smallest of details of every project, from its initial stage to its interior design. One example of this is our work on the official Real Sociedad shop in San Sebastián’s Calle Elkano.
